ABOUT: Basically, the blog was created for my writing - fanfiction and plot bunnies - under the pen name CHANTEL ROYAL. But now it's a mish mash of things including but not limited to: my graphics, my friends fics and graphics, fic recs, network things (ocappreciation, allaboutocs, ocpositive and sisficionado), minimal fandom stuff and promoting other's ocs/graphics! I also reblog resources for writing, graphics and tumblr (theme recs etc). There's probably a few other things I missed - check out my navi for a more complete list.

↳ Gifs: Currently, I DO NOT make my own gifs. I usually obtain my gifs from gif hunts. Any creator displeased with the usage of their work (I apologize, profusely, for any unintentional misuse), message me and I will either remove it/cease use or CREDIT YOU, if I haven't already.
↳ Icons:
I do create my own icons for my own personal use on this website. Every icon used in my theme are of my own creation unless stated otherwise (credit will be listed below). This includes the icons used on my main page as well as any other pages on this website and any icon used for my profile or any I share for others to use.
↳ Graphics:
I create and post my own edits for myself and others for personal use. I obtain no profit from these. They are tagged as my graphics atm. Any moodboards I make that use gifs not of my own creation are tagged separately as my moodboards and included in my general tag, my creations. My credit: chantelroyal while older graphics are credited with thechantelroyal and chantelroyalfanfiction.

2018 has been an interesting year for me, with a lot of ups and downs. Mostly downs, if I’m being honest, what with my family issues, my hard drive crashing, and hitting a creativity low (among other things). But I got to be with my niece on her 1st birthday, finally graduated college, got my driver’s license, watched two friends get married, and was asked to be in another friends wedding. I kinda feel like I dropped off the face of the earth lately. I don’t talk to very many people on here anymore, or on any other platforms. But it still makes me happy to see everyone on my dash. I enjoy seeing updates in everyones personal lives and helping with your problems (if I can, even if I’m just an ear to vent to). I love seeing all your amazing edits and writing! You guys amaze me all the time. So I wanted to do one of these (for the first time ever so forgive the length and mushiness of it) on the last day of 2018 to shout out to all the awesome people that manage to make this site a great escape from an otherwise boring and/or hellish reality. Apologies in advance for anyone I missed, cause I know I missed people. So, lots of love to y’all and I hope you have a happy new year.

Before you guys, I was just interacting with random people in the tags (where I don’t even bother going anymore for my own sanity lmao). While my love for the fandom that introduced me to y’all has faded, my love for y’all will never go. And, luckily, we have plenty of other fandoms to enjoy together! You’re the craziest, most amazing group of ladies I’ve ever met and I’m very happy to know you all.
@gcldnsyren: the Bo to my Kenzi, the Sirius to my Remus, the Ragnar to my Athelstan – you get an honorable mention, babe. We’ve been friends since before we even met on this site, interacting as fangirls through the ffnet review/mail system, gushing over our respective fics. I mean, you made my first ever piece of fan art! And then we just found each other on this site through random happenstance and I got the opportunity to know you better. You’ve been there for me through a lot of personal crap this year and I adore you for it.

Y’all are absolutely amazing and basically been hanging with my mess of a blog since the beginning. The real MVPS, all of you!
So 2018 has been a rollercoaster but I have to say, it’s been one of the best years of my life. I started a new job, wrote and delivered a reading at my best friend’s wedding, got published for the first time, moved into an even bigger and better house, travelled interstate and internationally, got my first tattoo…safe to say, I’ve accomplished heaps! There are a bunch of people who’ve contributed to my life for the better this year:
@skyqueengriffin my writing soulmate. Honestly girl, where would I be without you? We constantly push each other to do our best and I don’t think I’d have finished Nanowrimo without your support. It means so much to have someone who’s truly enthusiastic about my stories and characters, and who I can also chat about real-life stuff with. I can’t wait to see what 2019 has to offer us (fingers crossed I can come see you!)
@yourpalmoony I know we don’t chat heaps on this platform but I’m gonna tag you anyway. I’m glad that we’ve managed to keep in contact. I feel so comfortable chatting to you about anything, and I’m still super proud of how much you’ve done with your writing this year. I miss seeing you on my dash as often, but I’m also so grateful we still have places where we can chat.
@fraysquake my fellow Aussie angst queen! I’m so happy we’ve had the opportunity to catch up in person twice this year. Living in Sydney and closer to Melbourne means I hope we definitely manage to do that a bit! I love exchanging spoilers and talking about our devious plans for our poor characters. I can’t wait to see what new adventures 2019 will bring both of us!
@susiesamurai again I know you aren’t around on Tumblr a lot lately, but I’m glad we still chat! I honestly love that we can talk about anything and everything and that no matter how long it’s been since we last talked, we can just launch into conversation. I’m hoping that 2019 is a super positive year for you, I know things have been rough for you and I want you to know that I think of you a lot and care about you heaps.

@have-fun-storming-the-kastle I still find it amusing that we were chatting before the Tumblr days and here we are again, egging each other on with sly “do it” motivation whenever the other has motivation for a new plot bunny or story idea. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can convince each other to do in the new year!

I’ve seen a lot of people do this, had the privilege of being included in some and so I’m doing my own one. This year started out great for me and then ended sort of crappy, but one big highlight of 2018 has been joining the oc community on here and meeting so many lovely people. I’ve only joined back in May I think and already I can’t imagine next year without you guys. I’ve done some edits over the holidays, but not nearly enough to cover everyone who’s helped make my 2018 what it was. There’s really no order to the names and the categories are so it’s not just a big block of people. Sorry if anyone feels like they were forgotten, if that’s the case you can always hit me up. :)
~I’m reminded of the fact that it’s nearing a full year since I joined the writing community here and after the tough several months I’ve had, I’ve been thinking about who’s in my life and how much I appreciate them. At that point, it’s no surprise that I’ve been thinking about the amount of sheer love I have for so many people on this Godforsaken hellscape of a site. However, I also acknowledge that I have been ridiculously absent in the past couple of months and I feel like my absence has caused me to lose touch with a lot of wonderful people.
I just wanted to take a moment to both thank everyone for their time and their friendship and apologize for anyone I wasn’t there for when they needed support. I know it doesn’t make up for it, but I did want to highlight everyone who has impacted me and pay them a little tribute.
So the end of the year is rapidly approaching and I for one am certainly glad to see the end of 2018. This year has been one of very l i t t l e creativity for me, major lows, the occasional high and more drama than I care to remember. But, through all of that there have been a number of friends who have kept me sane on this hellsite and so I want to say thank you to them with this follow forever.

Due to personal commitments, @missjanuarylily and @susiesamurai have stepped down from the admin team. For this reason, please respect their choice and do not contact them regarding ocappreciation issues.
